Juhi Babbar all set to tie the knot!

On the eve of her big fat wedding, Juhi Babbar speaks to CT on her engagement, shaadi and future plans
Juhi Babbar all set to tie the knot!
Raj Babbar's pretty daughter, Juhi, is ready to tie the knot. Monday (26 June) was the engagement. "I met Bejoy Nambiar two and a half years ago for the short-film Reflections that he directed with me and Mohanlal Sir in the lead. Then Mani Rathnam saw the short film and asked Bejoy to assist on Guru," Juhi chirps happily. "Things just fell into place and here we are," she continues.
The bride-to-be is ecstatic. She says, "My inlaws are very strict Malayalis. Though Bejoy is in the movies, the rest of his family is in the business of exporting textiles."
The alliance took so long to solidify because of the groom's conservative family. "My father-inlaw is the head of the Nair community in Mumbai. So he was answerable to a long list of people about a Punjabi bahu," Juhi says.
The wedding will take place on 27 June in Mumbai. "We're having both Malayali and Punjabi ceremonies. Papa was fine with just a Malyali ceremony. But my in-laws insisted on both. So we're having a multi-cultural wedding," Juhi confides.
The affable Juhi has won over her in-laws completely. And now she's looking forward to a grand wedding. "We can't have just 20 people over. You know the kind of person my father is? Even if he remembers a spotboy from some old film, he'd call him. My father is very, very particular about maintaining relationships," Juhi says.
Just before rushing off an excited Juhi screamed, "On the 29th, I leave for Kerala for the reception at Bejoy's resort."
